This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the issues and solutions surrounding web applications, databases, and network security. The course provides hands-on experience in implementing a wide range of security countermeasures in web applications, establishing secure connections, securing a database, and conducting penetration testing. Business perspectives on security and risk assessment are also addressed in the course, as well as the domain-relevant legislation and regulations.
