WELD 1780 - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Plate

The student will learn the processes, principles, and equipment involved in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. The student should be able to discuss electrical safety in GTAW, how to properly handle welding and cooling systems, and solve problems concerning GTAW. Topics of study include GTAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plates using 16 gauge and 3/8” mild steel plates.
Prerequisite: WELD 1840 and WELD 1950
