WELD 1770 - Gas Metal - Flux Core Arc Welding

The student will learn the processes and principles of GMAW and FCAW. The student will be able to differentiate between short-circuit and spray-arc transfer and learn the different types of electrode wires and shielding gases used in GMAW and FCAW. The student will use short-circuit, dual shield, and flux-cored processes for welding tee joints and V-groove butt joints on mild steel and aluminum.
