PHYS 1110 - General Physics I

This course is the first of a two-semester non-calculus physics sequence. It is primarily for majors in biology, pre-medicine, and other majors that do not require calculus-based physics. Topics include mechanics, gravitation, and heat. Laboratory sessions illustrate the principles studied. Students receiving credit for PHYS 1110 cannot receive credit for PHYS 1050. Prerequisite: MATH 1400 (C or better) or higher, or ACT Math score of 25 or higher, or ALEKS score of 61 or higher.
Corequisite: PHYS 1111
