PHYS 1050 - Concepts of PhysicsCredits: 4
A one-semester course in which a small number of fundamental physical principles are used to explore a wide range of phenomena. The basic conservation laws and their applications will be stressed. Topics will range from Newtonian mechanics to the modern wave/particle duality of quantum mechanics. The course is designed to satisfy the University of Wyoming’s physical science requirement. Students receiving credit for PHYS 1050 cannot receive credit for PHYS 1310.
Prerequisite: MATH 0900 (C or better) or higher, or TECH 1000 (C or better) , or ACT of 16 or higher, or ALEKS 14 or higher.Corequisite: PHYS 1051
