KIN 1130 - Teaching Individual/Group FitnessCredits: 3
This course is designed for individuals to learn how to instruct individual and group training/fitness sessions safely. Students learn proper techniques for a variety of exercises using various types of equipment and body weight. Students will learn how to teach and critique proper form for the exercises they learn. Analysis and correction of others’ techniques will be emphasized. Students will learn how to safely and effectively teach exercises in a group setting. New exercises will be taught and perfected throughout the semester. By the end of the course, students will have learned how to correctly perform exercises and be able to teach, analyze, and correct others’ exercise techniques. Emphasis is placed on teaching safe and effective use of all equipment. Prerequisite: KIN 1009 (May be taken concurrently)
