PEAC 1273 - Weight Training and Conditioning

This course is designed for individuals with no prior weight training experience. Students learn proper techniques for basic weight-lifting exercises. Evaluations of individual fitness levels and knowledge of weight training principles are integral components of the course. A pre-determined workout program to develop muscular strength and endurance is used for the first half of the course. By the end of the course, students will learn how to develop their personalized weight training program. Emphasis is placed on the safe and effective use of the Cybex machines and dumbbells.
