PEAC 1120 - Intro to Free Weight TrainingCredits: 1
This course is designed for individuals with no prior weight training experience. Students learn proper techniques for basic free weight-lifting exercises. A predetermined workout program to develop muscular strength and endurance is used for the first half of the course. New exercises will be taught and perfected throughout the semester. By the end of the course, students will have perfected the form of the basic free weight lifts and be able to create a basic program to increase fitness. Emphasis is placed on the safe and effective use of the free-weight equipment.
