This course offers the student individualized instruction on database software such as Microsoft Access. Emphasis will be placed on databases applicable to business, government, and industry. Some of the topics include planning, creating, and maintaining databases; creating queries to locate information; creating professional-looking reports and forms; integrating with other applications; creating macros; and using Visual Basic. Students completing this course in Microsoft Access should be prepared to take the Access Expert Level Microsoft Office Specialist exam.
May be taken concurrently with Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. This is available for students completing the course who want to test for the industry-recognized credential. Prerequisite: CMAP 1200
