AUTO 2545 - Automotive Alignment and Steering SystemsCredits: 3
This course will introduce students to basic alignment theory and practice. Emphasis will be placed on the various alignment angles and their effects on tire wear and vehicle stability. Several types of alignment techniques will be discussed, with the primary focus being on the use of computer alignment equipment to achieve consistent, accurate results. The course will also cover the theory, diagnosis, and repair of modern steering systems such as power rack and pinion steering and recirculating ball steering. Prerequisite: AUTO 2540
