The Certificate in Emergency Services is designed for those students who are looking to gain necessary knowledge to meet minimal licensure requirements for State licensure. Successful completion of the certificate allows the graduate to take the National Registry of EMT’s Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification examination and the student is also eligible to apply to the State of Wyoming for licensure as an Advanced EMT. Upon licensure, the AEMT practices in settings where policies and procedures are specified, and guidance is available.
