BADM 3010 - Business and Professional Writing Credits: 3 This course explores writing correspondence commonly used in professional workplaces by managers. These correspondence types include letters, memos, and emails, as well as reports, proposals, and workflows. Students will study how written correspondence is shaped by different workplace rhetorical situations and learn to discern the rhetorical context of a given situation. Students will learn to navigate available document formats and learn to write for similar yet inevitably different workplace situations in a clear concise manner with proper grammar, punctuation, and mechanics.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1020 or ENGL 2005 , C or better grade
