AUTO 2510 - Engine Performance I Credits: 3 This course will introduce students to a variety of different type of engine diagnosis, electrical testing using lab scopes, scan tools, multi-meter, and charging system testers. Mechanical performance systems will be studied, as well as diagnoses for intake and exhaust. Computer input, output and communication will be covered with lecture and lab-hands-on experience. On-Board Diagnostics I and On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD) with freeze frame, monitoring, adaptive fuel control are also introduced and covered in depth according to students ability/desire. A good foundation of electronics is needed for the best success in this course.
