ASL 1200 - American Sign Language I Credits: 4 American Sign Language is a true language that is used within the deaf community. This course will introduce students to basic expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language, including conversation strategies, body language, facial expressions, and fingerspelling. Students who complete this course should be able to produce 1500 words with signs learned in class, along with having an awareness of deaf culture.
