Welding Technology - Industrial Plant, A.A.S.

Welding technology’s primary objective is to give students a solid entry-level skill set to enter the workforce. Students will gain an understanding of multiple welding processes, joint configurations, and applicable welding codes and documents utilized in the industry. Students will feel confident in their abilities to identify proper filler metals and base metals that they are working with and be able to employ the appropriate techniques in regard to structural components or piping systems. There will be an emphasis on workplace safety and proper training working with equipment associated with a shop, plant, or field environment.
