EDEL 4409 - Elementary Math/Science Education

This course includes content and pedagogy in teaching mathematics and science in the elementary school. The following topics are addressed: student learning and curriculum; theory translated into instructional planning and practice; practices that promote effective learning and foster students’ creativity in mathematics and science; assessment; student behavior; and teaching strategies.
Prerequisite: EDUC 2100 Valid Wyoming Substitute Teaching Permit on file at Western’s Department of Education.Corequisite: EDUC 4470
