KIN 1009 - Applied FitnessCredits: 3
This course will provide an introduction and overview of fitness principles and focus on the student applying the five components of physical fitness in developing a personalized exercise program. The students will learn the standard methods of fitness, take tests for each component, and complete these tests on themselves and their classmates. Students will be introduced to a variety of exercise styles and techniques and learn how to use a variety of equipment to improve the different components of fitness. Each student will be required to work at their prescribed level of fitness during the class. Exercise logs, journals, and assignments will be used to monitor each student’s progress.
