BIOL 1003 - Current Issues in BiologyCredits: 4
This course will focus on current issues in biology. In doing so, other fields of science will be integrated, including chemistry, physics, and earth science. This course will highlight the interdisciplinary nature of science, combining content from both the physical and life sciences. Topics will be dealt with in-depth in lectures, laboratory, and discussion formats. Fundamental principles of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science will be demonstrated and discussed, as well as where they fit into the issue at hand. The course will also address the process of science and the connections between science and society. Credit can only be earned for one of the following courses: BIOL 1002, BIOL 1003, BIOL 1000, and BIOL 1010. Corequisite: BIOL 1004
