WELD 1770 - Gas Metal Arc Welding

The student will learn the processes and principles of GMAW and FCAW. The student will be able to differentiate between short-circuit and spray-arc transfer, and know the different types of electrode wires and shielding gases used in GMAW and FCAW. The student will use short-circuit , duel shield, and the flux cored processes for welding tee joints, V-groove butt joints on mild steel and aluminum.
