COMM 2090 - Introduction to Persuasion Credits: 3 Persuasion is communication intended to influence the beliefs, values and/or behaviors of other people. This course is designed to make the student aware of major theories and research in persuasion; to help the student become a more critical receiver of persuasive messages; and help the student become a more competent persuasive speaker. As a result of the course, the student should have an understanding of how persuasion happens interpersonally, in advertising, in political campaigns and in public speech.
