Certificate Requirements

Required Core Curriculum of minimum 23.5-24 credits:

ELTR 1505 - Electrical Assembly & Measure Credits: 3
ELTR 1520 - Basic Electricity, DC Credits: 3
ELTR 1530 - Basic Electricity, AC Credits: 3
Approved Electrical Technology Course Credits: 2.5-3
ELTR 2815 - Programmable Logic Controllers Credits: 3
ELTR 2840 - Motor Controls Credits: 3
ELTR 2885 - Instrumentation II Credits: 3
TECH 1000 - Introduction to Technical Mathematics Credits: 3

Subtotal: 23.5-24

Approved Electrical Technology Course can be fulfilled by Instrumentation I (ELTR 1840 ), Instrumentation I for Industry (ELTR 1841 ), or Instrumentation-Oil & Gas Production (ELTR 1850 ).
TECH 1000 can be replaced by a college level math (MATH 1000 or higher).
All above core courses must be completed with a “C” or better to earn the Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Technology Certificate.
