COMM 2100 - Media Writing

This course will offer an intensive introduction to basic news writing, reporting, and editing. Students will learn several important principles and practices relating to effective writing, meeting deadlines, working with speed and accuracy, and exercising sound judgment based in ethical decision-making, sensitivity, and an appreciation of our pluralistic society. This course will provide the skills necessary for various media careers including broadcasting, strategic communication, and magazine writing.
